Ruben in his toddler days

° 22/07/1983 , Ostend. is where his story began:

Ruben Caen grew up in a warm loving family being the youngest of 2 brothers. Always in for fun, sports and sometimes a little shenanigan here and there he sailed through his local primary school with an never-ending enthousiasm -that still stands today!

Next stop was high school, where he explored his creative side and gained all the necessary skills to become an industrial painter.
But off course, the best school is the school of life and he knew that from the day he graduated!

Therefore, the following decade Ruben wandered through Southeast Asia, lived quite some time in Australia, where he gained the badly needed bucks in construction, agriculture and hospitality amongst other trades and experienced many, many more adventures along the way ...


While home in Belgium, Ruben stepped out out of his comfort-zone careerwise, because that's where you really gain the experience to become an open-minded, strong person. Or so he beliefs.

That's why he ran a sportsclub on the beach with many satisfied customers,
was an assistent manager for quite some time in a big DIY store which went from a sloppy shack to become one of the flagship stores in Belgium (within the franchise), did some more sales as an account manager for a solar company ánd bridged the gaps in between with allsorts of interim assignments.

Yup, an all-rounder, in the true sense of the word!

That kind off surprise came to him one day: Since the day Ruben grew up there was always this love for computers, the tech industry, how it all works and everything involved in that world.

So when the opportunity presented itself to enroll in a adult education school to become a PHP developer, no time was wasted!

So far the journey has been truly mindblowing and the experience caused multiple eye-openers, on so many levels! Sometimes the road has been a little rocky, but with enough TLC and tons of willpower this glibly man will soon land his long awaited certificate!
